Postdoctoral fellows

Postdoctoral candidates who would like to apply to fellowships such as the MSCA or the HFSP in 2025 are welcome to contact Maximiliano Nigro by email. When contacting me, please send you CV, a one-page project outline describing a possible project that aligns to the lab interests.
Candidates with a strong argument for transfer of knowledge (see MSCA requirements) will be prioritized:
-Candidates with experience in computational neuroscientists interested in experimental work
-Candidates with experience with in vivo neurophysiology interested in circuit dissection (anatomy/in vitro work)
-Candidates with experience in behavioral neuroscience interested in acquiring in vivo or in vitro neurophysiology
-Candidates with experience in in vitro neurophysiology interested in acquiring in vivo neurophysiology
-Candidates with experience in molecular neuroscience interested in acquiring in vitro neurophysiology to study cell types

PhD students

Currently we don’t have available positions for PhD students.

Medical students (Forskelinjen)

We are looking for one forskerlinjen student to start a project on biophysical mechanisms of cortical hyperexcitability. Interested students should contact Maximiliano Nigro.

Master students in the Neuroscience program at NTNU

We have availability for 2 students starting in 2025.

Erasmus students

We have availability for one Erasmus student in 2025 for a period of at least 6 months. This could be also related to performing the experimental work for a Master’s thesis or postgraduate research experience.
